Feelings and Emotions
A taxonomy of 'feelings' (this is the top level of the feeling pages).
Well, just a list for now. We'll start to factor it when it's grown a bit.
The idea is to identify the broad kinds of feelings, and within those identify the subtle differences that the words we use imply. The intention is to clarify, gain understanding, and develop emotional literacy.
One use is to navigate the resulting tree to help discover a feeling, starting from the most basic distinction, and refining it.
How to categorise them? One source are the divisions [CNVC suggest]; another is the work of [Paul Ekman]; and a third are the classifications we find in Buddhist literature, or where this meets western understanding, as in [HHTDL, "Destructive Emotions"].
